The Other Side Of The World...

...is closer than you think. Ex-taiko dojo friends (though fortunately still-current friends) Lani and Rebecca happened to not only be in Korea but to be in Songdo at the same time on the same day, so they dropped by for a couple of beers and a chat. It's always good to see people you haven't seen in a while, especially when you're meeting them in a place so far removed from where you first met. It helps you feel connected to home and to the world around you, Skype and Facebook no substitute for physically being there talking to someone you care about. It was great to catch up with them, and the evening overall was a nice and quiet one. Perfect way to round off a very busy work week.
