Mono Monday Challenge!!!!!

The learning curve has been steep since I started my daily blip in March. A real challenge today, I have never shot in monochrome, so with handbook opened at appropriate page and altering settings (another new experience) I eventually was ready to capture an image. This then had to be inside as not only was it a wet day it was also very windy.

At last the chosen object - a Phalaenopsis commonly known as the Moth Orchid. It is a light greenish colour with light pink markings, very pretty. After a few shots I found one I was relatively pleased with for today's challenge.
