Across the emptiness

The reality of the sheer size of Australia: flying from Sydney up to "the top end" took four and a half hours, to Darwin! Mile after mile after red mile of emptiness, the aerial view reinforced our appreciation of how Australia's population is mainly clustered around the coast.
