Nowhere to run

Like most people today I was saddened to read the news on the death of Robin Williams.

I still remember when he first appeared on our screens as Mork in 1978 when I was just 10. Mork & Mindy was one of the funniest things on TV & straightaway he was very much loved in our house.

Robin Williams starred in lots of great films but my favourite has to be his performance in Good Morning Vietnam.

I imagine the words on this mug 'If the music is too loud you're too old' is exactly what he would have thought when he arrives on his first day at the radio station and blasts the music.

I guess like one of the great songs from the soundtrack to that fab film, in the end he had nowhere to run to.
