Renfrew Rose
This is a picture of the Renfrew Ferry in operation. It crosses the River Clyde between Renfrew and Yoker. At a distance of around 200 metres it is one of the shortest ferry trips in the world.
It has operated in some form or another for around 500 years but sadly is due to close in the near future. It is claimed the service makes a loss of £430,000 a year by keeping the ferry running.
There is a campaign to save it but not much time left.
