Deadlines......

.......Thursday is a day for finishing lines and milestones. Easily the toughest to meet is Owen's homework deadline. As a young man who reluctantly touches down on earth to feed and ablute and then disappears out into space again, homework is an unwelcome distraction from the important things in life. Tonight was particularly tough as he still had 20 sentences to write from his words book. That's about 4 hours work for Owen. I'm preparing an intravenous drip so that he can work on uninterrupted through tea time this evening.

We attended a book signing after work and Owen met A. G. Taylor, a children's author from Oz. As soon as homework is complete, he'll have his nosed stuffed into Meteorite Strike.
