Sanctuary

A detail within the "Sanctuary" - a dedicated quiet/meditation room - in my local hospice, at which I've been a volunteer since July 2008. This hospice has, currently, nearly 300 volunteers, ranging in duties from driver to day-care, to chaplaincy, to charity shop, to fund-raising, to bereavement support, to reception, and much else besides which I can't enumerate here. Of course, there are a lot of employed staff also - nurses, including Macmillan nurses, a regular chaplain, fund-raising managers, bereavement support professionals - really, the usual line-up that one might expect in an organisation such as this.
