Arran

We left Campbeltown and headed north again - the sun finally came out for our journey homewards. We stopped for a while at Ronachan Point and saw a pair of swans with some cygnets that included a pure white one. Very intriguing - couldn't get close enough to see if it had a pink eye as well! Then we made a short detour to Skipness on the east coast where there's a beautiful medieval castle. (And Left Hand would have been very disappointed in us if we had failed to visit!). The north coast of Arran seems very close. On our way back through the village we noticed that there seemed to be children at play in the little primary school - oh my, school term must have started already.

The rest of the drive was uneventful, apart from stopping to use the public conveniences in Inverary - that's 40 pennies we spent between us! It's good to be home (although having to work tomorrow does not currently bear thinking about). A nice glass of red, then an early night. The midge bites are maturing nicely - but I must not scratch, I must not scratch, I.....
