Rest in Peace

Today we celebrated Dads life, Petrius Canisius Oostendorp was 89 years old and had 7 children, 13 Grandchildren and 7 Greatgrand Children. We gave Dad a fantastic send off that lasted almost 2 hours,lots of laughter and many fond memories. One of the Grand Children spoke about how Dad loved everything fried or roasted in butter and finished by saying the butter was cooked with a little bit of chicken. In the end we toasted Dad and I accompanied him on his final journey and giving him the tour guide talk pointing out the points of interest and his old favourite places and stopping briefly out side our old family home. It was a great service and I had a very good Father.
One highlight was some video footage with Mum and Dad together and hearing their voices.
