Final Perch

We have always interred our deceased pets on our property. This is the first time we've had to deal with a beloved pet death with the ground so frozen that home burial was impossible. Cosmo is the first pet we've had cremated. We picked up the little decorative tin containing his ashes today. The most appropriate place for him was the high door sill where he liked to perch himself that was beyond the physical abilities of the other cats to reach. We'll miss you big boy, but we're glad to have a piece of you near us watching over your kingdom.
