Ouch

Very busy work day. I suddenly remembered at 8am that I had forgotten to tell my boss that I'd agreed to my friend coming today to make a radio programme for BBC Manchester in the waiting room interviewing our clients. I knew she would absolutely have a heart attack about it! The radio people arrived before she got my message so in return I had to do the most horrible lump removal on an obese aged British bulldog who finds it very hard to breathe whilst awake never mind under anaesthetic.

One of the interesting stories was a man who brought in his labrador convinced that he had eaten one of these Bass fishing hooks that look like a fish. I don't know which is worse, the actual rubber fish causing gut obstruction, the attached wire concertinering the gut or the blimin great hook lacerating everything in it's path. He's booked in for x rays tomorrow.

Kate came for dinner and we had a really good evening not drawing breath til after 1am. I love being Kate's friend, she was the first person I met at vet school 11 years ago in the D100 queue.
