First Steam. GX1, Leitz Summicron 35mm V4.

I had the day off and the car was in the shop for maintenance, so I took the public transport system. On my way through the various buildings at Harvard, I happened across their little History of Science museum. There was a lot of Blippable material there ranging from various navigational instruments, compasses and chronographs, through all sorts of telescopes, through to early vacuum tubes for creating x-rays. It was fascinating, but when I looked at my photographs from the visit, this little working brass model of Richard Trevithick's first steam locomotive of 1804 appealed most. I'll admit it: I'm a ferroequinofile, so this was irresistible.
