Stump.

When I was outside at lunchtime today at my Friday clinical site, I noticed this rather fine, weathered stump. As I was on the way out the door this evening, I went back to Blip it. I love the weathering, the shape and the medullary checks which developed as the trunk dried out. Judging by the bark and the grain of the wood, I'd say this was an oak - once.
