Salmon dinner....

well what a treat....dinner prepared in our own home!

Ed and Dawn are here renting the Chalet cabin for 3 weeks, for the 2nd time. last year when they came they invited us to have dinner with them. This is sort of an unusual situation, we don't usually socialize with the folks that are renting the cabins. But these 2 were so interesting and it was such a lovely time, that this year we decided they should come here. Well they insisted on providing all the meal!

There was delicious fresh salmon done on the BBQ, a tortellini pasta dish with the most amazing sauce, salad and zucchini from our garden! The pies that followed were bought at one of the local bakeries and were divine! The wine flowed, the conversation was wide and varied..... and funny and just what was needed after a long and tiring day in the mudroom!

I spent the whole day up to my elbows in glaze and got the kiln on around 4.30pm.....which was just great.
