A mouse took a stroll in the deep dark wood....

Delamere forest, Gruffalo trail.
What a lovely day! We spent 4 hours wandering around the forest finding snakes, owls, gruffalos and mice, watching birds and butterflies, building dens, jumping in puddles, making mud pies, riding bikes up and down hills, balancing on logs, climbing trees. Just lovely. The sun shone, we took a picnic. Lily managed to walk the whole way while Dylan covered miles on his bike, racing ahead, then coming back and forth, waiting while she caught up.

Lily had some great chats with him in the wood and liked holding his hand, taking him for a walk.

We shall definitely return!
