Poses With Hands

Am currently experimenting with taking portraits that include hands. Harder than it sounds as part of the challenge is the hands have to look natural and also give context to the image... if the hands are in a portrait they should be there for a reason!

Today's photo of Mr M is illustrates the technique of giving the hands something to do (in this case, holding a book). Giving hands something to do is a good way to get hands looking relaxed and natural. Bridal bouquets are a blessing for photographers as they give the bride's hands a meaningful occupation in the photos! :-)

Anyway, enough of that. Following on from yesterday's blip I can confirm that it certainly is Autumn.. our heating came on this evening!!

I am also wearing woolly socks :-)
