After the water games...

This little chap was left drying on the radiator (not that it was on!) after the water games yesterday at Holiday Club. He doesn't look too impressed - nor was his owner when told to go and dry himself off and put a painting shirt on (which are kept at the church for use at the usual children's club). "I HATE wearing this", he said to me with a wry grin. I couldn't say I blamed him as the sleeves were all frayed and I suggested he turned the sleeves up and then it would look better! :-)

It was a great final day of the club - the children have been absolutely brilliant and joined in with enthusiasm in all the activities. Lots of parents came to the finale in the evening and the weather was kind to us despite a forecast of rain, and most children were out playing games in the car park (which was closed to cars) led by the younger team members after they had finished their buffet. We also had a few tables outside so that people had a choice on where to sit. We had a good spread of food, and there was plenty for everyone.

So a great success - and a number of parents have said that their children want to join Friday Club when it re-starts next month :-))
