Sweet Pea Still Life

It’s a while since I have done any flower still lifes and as a couple of my grandchildren are going to arrive a little later today for a few days I thought I would catch the calm before the storm. These are some of my neighbour’s sweet peas which just happen to grow through our fence so I had no compunction about snipping them off. I tried a number of backgrounds with them and decided that the complementary fawn background was better than the more striking grey weave or black backgrounds.
