Five chucks and four fish.

This was how our early morning angler put it after I
had watched the end of his rod bending seawards.
Might the hook be snagged on the unwelcome rock
armour so insensitively placed there by those who
presume to know more than the locals? As you would
expect Steve knew the wriggle of a codling from the
iron like grasp of a clump of seaweed and within the
minute another codling was in his hands for the
unhooking. That made "four after only five chuckings"
- said with a hint of delight as you might expect!
Not bad before 7am when many would still be abed!
The early worm catches the fish it seems. Nice to know
some of the secrets !
