A hundred pipers an aw
Thought I would have an early walk on the North Inch this morning, and thought it would be quiet given the relatively early start! But no! I could hear the skirl of the pipes as I turned the corner under the old bridge and then saw that the Highland Games were on:). Breagha and I had a wander round the pipe band practice area and met a few Americans. Turns out that it's a big even the Championships, and bands come from all over the world, with the biggie being the Glasgow competition next weekend.
There were bands from New Zealand, Australia, Canada and various European countries. The youth teams were on in the morning and managed to keep dry, but the afternoon guys.......... Started peeing down at 12!!
This is one of the youth teams after competing.
