First Access

to our local beach in over a year - - - but only for a day :-(

New sea defences are being built and the public have been kept well away. Today was a special pre-arranged annual event of motorbike racing on the sands and access was allowed just for the day.

This is one of the new access ramps and in the distance are the three blocks of Ravenscraig flats. They are positively glowing after a recent prolonged facelift.

Sorry: this is all I have for today as I was unable to get down early enough for the actual bike races.
