The Lesser Goldfinch

This is a male Lesser Goldfinch. This species is smaller than the American Goldfinch. They seek out desert oases. Do I know the location of the one closest to me? Aha! It appears to be yellow!

This isn't the finest photograph of all time. It appears to be out of focus but that is because of the angle it was taken. His black eye is blending into his cap. If you notice his feet, you should be able to tell that I was at about the five o'clock position, almost directly from behind.
