Hot Stuff

We had a fairly quiet today apart from being woken by a barking fox at 6am.
I collected the children at about 11 from my parents then did a little bit of gardening (planting and dead heading) and was very happy to find several tiny chillies on the plant out the front. We're hoping for enough to make some chilli oil.
The weather is definitely starting to turn autumnal so it didn't seem inappropriate to make a chicken casserole in the slow cooker for dinner, leaving me free for a bit of reading and snoozing this afternoon.
We're now planning a day out for D's birthday tomorrow. We may require wine....
