Fondue

The food at our chalet has been great and as every mum knows self-catering holidays can be darned hard work so I love being served my meals each evening. Wednesday, however, is the chef's day off so we ventured out to enjoy some Savoyarde cuisine from the haute Savoie including fondue, and pierrade - witch involved cooking meats and vegetables on a hot plate at the table. We really splashed out on a couple of bottles of wonderful wine, and what the boys thought was a 'mountain of meats' which actually turned out to be 'mountain meats' but so plentiful we almost had a mountain of them.
