The Mug

Sunday in the August challenge is all to do with style. I was struggling a bit until I remembered this pub which has a tremendous style all of its own. It's known as the pub in the graveyard because when you are there it feels like you are in the graveyard - you have to walk round the church and graveyard to actually get to the pub - The Mug in Claines a few miles outside Worcester.

It's a real ale pub so Super Handyman Husband didn't need much encouragement to visit. It's tiny inside but has some lovely garden areas and they have gone to town on the planters full of brilliant begonias. There were a few cyclists there and if you look carefully you will see me coming out of the door, pint in hand - the dutiful wife!

I'm told it's the only pub in the country built on consecrated ground.

So, as far as I'm concerned, this pub certainly has a style I like.
