billy bragg

great sunny, roasting day today and we headed for the main stage to see billy bragg who was ace. funnily enough he had been told not to be too political....! the yes flags were waving (despite being told to come down) and it was great. nice to get some support.

after, we all went to the verb garden to hear him being interviewed by bbc's gary robertson. gillian asked billy what he thought about the security staff asking folk to take their yes badges off...he wasn't impressed and his answer was 'fuck 'em'.

we stayed to hear tommy sheridan who was also great in a completely different way...jeezo he's a passionate man. he's fairly controversial and his style is certainly not everyone's cup of tea but I agreed with everything he said on this occasion. beth's reaction to it was amazing - she was so impressed. wish she had a vote.
