Mono Monday connection ....

..with the past.
On 31st August the Museum of Rural Life is having an open day in the form of a harvest festival. The museum had asked James' school if they could use two children in their promotion pamphlet and since "involvement in the community" is part of "Curriculum for Excellence" the school was happy to participate and James was one of the children chosen.

The PR team had decided on a link to the past - to the 1950s - to advertise the event. The tractor was registered in 1956 and the children had to dress up in clothes depicting the era. He is wearing a blue checked shirt, red braces and a snake belt, which were common at that time. He also has his hair slicked down in a style from the 1950s. At that time, boys commonly wore short trousers until the age of 14, but luckily James wears short trousers to school in the summer so he didn't need to borrow.

I decided to keep the official photographer in the blip as he connected to the project.
