this panda coloured cat turned up on our doorstep about 4 years ago. my husband, not being a cat fanatic (he prefers dogs), did his best to make him go away, but the cat persisted. sometimes we'd see him sleeping outside the neighbouring house where an italian couple lived (the woman left her husband died), but he always came back to our house. this is how he acquired his name: silvestro berlusconi, or beri for short

over the years, beri has remained quite loyal to us, and this year, i can say that he has tamed even his master - my husband is now quite attached to beri and always asks about him if he hasnt seen him for a while

here, beri climbed on the sofa, while we werent watching, and we only just caught sight of him before we switched off the lights last night and went to bed - beri is definitely an outdoor cat, but in his older age, he shows a certain fondness for soft spots
