Last First

Today is the last first.

We've had all the first anniversaries now. First wedding anniversary, first Xmas, first birthday, Mothers day, Easter, my birthday, your birthday and so on they've all passed. It's a year today we said our formal farewell, it was a sunny day and today was too and a fine sunset to finish off the daylight.

We've had a busy day, Dad has had his cataract removed. A marvellous little op. Only took 20 minutes. Lots of drops to begin with over a couple of hours and although he's a little sore tonight and vision still blurry for him you can never tell he's had it. wonderful.

Someone must have been with us today I think because Dad was third on the list, another gentleman there for his second eye done was fourth and another was fifth. Dad went down about 2.35pm and was back upstairs around 3.15pm. The fourth gentleman had his done then they seemed to halt surgery because the air con was not working. So pleased dad was third but did feel sorry for the poor gentleman who perhaps would not receive his procedure today.

So as this time last year we said farewell, this time next week I will be saying Hello to Spain and will hopefully have a small glass (I don't think!) of sangria or a large Stella Artois! here's hoping.
