Tastes better than it looks!

Still not sure what sort of pie this was, it was made with mince Geoff bought while I was away, pretty certain it wasn't beef, might have been pork, don't think it was lamb!

Anyway I made enough for two ? pies and topped the one we had tonight with sweet potato mash.

Spoke to mum for about an hour tonight, a couple of weeks ago their three guinea pigs disappeared, they think it may have been a fox they had seen in the garden about two weeks before that. They were pretty upset about that but mum soon had dad dismantling the hutch and run. Last week they were taking the broken up hutches to the tip and on the way back their car stopped, they called the AA and were towed to the garage. (I am giving you the short version). The long and short of it is that their cam belt had gone and they have ended up buying a new car, well new to them. This might all sound pretty straightforward but mum seems to get more agitated and a little confused when anything that isn't 'normal' happens and disrupts their routine. They pick up the car tomorrow and she is hoping that she will be able to sleep tomorrow night knowing it is on the drive. Reading that you probably think they live in the middle of nowhere but they live in a town on a bus route. She has also been contacted by my brother during the last week about his 'divorce' situation, he currently has shingles and is off work, she has been worrying about him and maybe he doesn't have money. I have done my best to reassure her that he is ok financially, hopefully she believes me.

Will probably pop and see them this weekend but didn't mention it tonight as she will worry about that as well. Better to tell her nearer the time.
