Globe thistle

We have a bunch of these scattered around one part of the garden. Started with one, they seed easily and multiply. The color is so pretty (I have enhanced this photo just a bit), especially against the other colors in the garden.

Lovely day, a bit muggy. We are having vinyl siding put on our house and the work started today. There was a lot of hammering, the cats stayed hidden until everything was quiet. Our house is an old farmhouse and Mr M doesn't want to paint it anymore. So we decided to have the siding put on. It took us quite a while to decide on a color scheme, but we settled for Wedgewood Blue siding with Classic Cream trim. I'm excited to see the finished product. I started a photo file on the computer to showcase each day's progress. I'll blip it when it's finished.
