The Broken Spur
Today is a road trip day. We leave Moab and head for Capitol Reef National Park. We make good time and get there around 10.30am, before it gets too hot. We see the petroglyphs left by the Fremont Indians and take a hike out to Hickmans Bridge.
We stopped off at Gifford Farm House and had cranberry scones and lemon/lime cordial, then took the scenic drive out to Capitol Gorge. The scenery is just amazing and we take hundreds of pictures, but none of them really do it any justice.
We get to our accommodation 'The Broken Spur Inn & Steakhouse' about 3pm and just settle in for the evening, making use of the hot tub and pool. We sink a few rums while enjoying the last of the sun out the front of our room.
Dinner is an awesome sirloin steak in the Steakhouse. Now enjoying a wealth of tv and relaxing in our room. On the road again tomorrow, to Zion National Park.
