Take down the Union Jack

Now how many of you take offence at this title I wonder?
Well you shouldn't.
The song is an old one by Billy Bragg written about his assertion of being English. Taking down the Union Jack, as it is the flag used by right wing extremists like BNP, National Front, UKIP etc.
He is also a staunch, long-time supporter of Scottish independence.
His book is rubbish though.
