Gifts Galore!

Hooray! The cake has finally been cut and the gifts opened!

This is just half of the gifts Alan received! There are a similar number of packages on the floor as well as piles of cards that included money / vouchers! What a lucky boy he is and as we opened his gifts together this evening, I was moved to tears by how thoughtful people had been in their choices. He is a very lucky lad.

Hilariously one of his favourite things wasn't even a gift, it was a gift bag! It had Twiggy on the front! (in her hey day, not in a recent M&S ad! ;-)) That led to a conversation about posters for his room. He wants girl posters!! I think McBusted are about to lose their wall space.

And the cake has been cut too. It tastes just as good as it looks. Light vanilla sponge with butter cream filling. Yummmeeee!!!

Alan was at the activity centre today and had a very relaxing time. Today was relaxation day and there were lots of treatments on offer. He had a hand and arm massage and enjoyed it very much. On Friday it's a change of pace and he's going wheelchair ice skating. He can't wait!
