This building is part of the Town Hall and the Library in our leafy London borough. It was cunnigly disguised during the war to look like a tree - can you tell? If I were a german pilot I would certainly have thought - Hey, look at that lovely tree that really doesn't look anything like a huge red-brick Victorian building! The adjoining Town Hall complete with columns and associated grandeur also posesses a fetching fading camouflage right across the front.
Having said this it obviously worked as both are still standing, completely undamaged.
