Took some broken cameras to be repaired today at a shop that was recommended to me and discovered the most awesome timewarp. I didn't know places like this still existed and was initially a bit taken aback by the sliding doors, back rooms full of brown boxes upon brown boxes, bearded men appearing from the back wearing brown overalls, framed photo's on the wall showing 'our test & inspection section' and 'our production and machine workshop' featuring high tech equipment and bearded men in 70's jumpers - actually in the 1970's.

In fact the owner was awesome, so helpful and willing to put himself out for me. We put the world to rights and I left feeling like there was still someone in the world that could fix a super 8 camera or a Nikon D70 without batting an eyelid. Couldn't have been more helpful.
