A milestone
Today the eldest TMG went snow skiing for the first time! We were not sure whether he would like it. Fortunately, we had nothing to worry about and he loved it! He really enjoyed the process and his favorite thing was going straight down the hill. Of course, we now have to teach him to stop and turn, but we wanted to take it easy for his first time.
The other interesting thing about today was the reaction of the youngest TMG. He waited patiently and watched his brother ski and then in classic fashion pointed to himself and said "Me!" He wanted to join in. Unfortunately, we did not have the time or equipment to allow him to partake, and we plan on remedying that next weekend. We hope to get them both going. It is testatement to being a second child that the youngest TMG is determined to ski at such an early age. Fortunately, even though he is much younger, I have no doubt that he will enjoy it as much as his brother.
The one unfortunate thing is that there were potential blips at the ski area, but I had limited opportunity since I was chasing the youngest TMG. Bunny hills are particularly dangerous since he is small, runs fast and the skiers can be out of control. Needless to say, I spent the majority of time worrying about him. In my few free moments, I photographed the eldest TMG as he cruised down the slope.
Mrs TMG is not a fan of this shot and thinks that it is boring. The one thing I like about it is the snowboarder in the foreground. He appears to be looking longingly up the slope. His inclusion was by chance and for me makes the shot worth posting.
