An afternoon of hedge trimming - the one in the background.

This is a late summer tradition but each year it gets higher and the job seems harder or is it me getting smaller ?

Before that York races on TV in years gone by its a day I have been at the course.

IF I had gone today I would have won on Tiggy Wiggy in the Lowther and lost the winnings on Top Notch Tonto (by a short head) in the next.

This would then have saved me from losing my shirt on Taghrooda the shock beaten odds on favourite in the Yorkshire Oaks.

I used to love betting on the horses but luckily I can't stand losing so I gave up :-$
