Double Bridge
I went on an afternoon walk from Slinfold to the A281 near Rudgwick which is about 1 and a half miles each way.
I had another look for railway relics again and found a few items and some I had not seen before. Once again this is on the Horsham to Guildford line. The reason that there are two bridges here is that when the line was inspected by the Board Of Trade, the inspector considered that the gradient to Rudgwick Station was too much and the LBSCR had to raise the embankments at this point and added a plate girder span over the top of the brick one. This bridge is the emblem of the Downs Link and it can be viewed from a specially created viewpoint which is where the picture was taken from.
