Welcome to our new home!

Today we finally became home owners. It was a day of firsts for me: first time buyer, first ever house (only ever lived in a flat), first ever garden and tomorrow will be my first time decorating! After renting for the past 12 years, it feels strange to own somewhere, it hasn't quite sunk in yet! Very excited!

The day was quite chaotic! After being homeless for a month we collected our keys and went to the house to meet the removal van there at 2oclock but when we arrived the owners hasn't moved out yet! Due to delays up the chain they couldn't move into the next house yet and our removal men were fully booked for the next week! In the end the previous owners moved all of their stuff into some rooms and we loaded our furniture and boxes into several rooms. It's lucky we didn't wait for them to move out as they didn't leave until nearly 6oclock! Nevermind, it all worked out well in the end and they even gave us a bottle if champagne and bouquet of flowers- which was lovely of them!

Now we have hundreds of boxes to unpack and furniture to put back together. Going to leave some stuff in boxes so it doesn't get paint on though.
So much stuff to do that we don't know where to start......thankfully it's bank holiday weekend so we've got some extra time.

I may not have time to blip or comment much in the next few days (especially since I don't know where I packed my camera or phone charger!) but will catch up in a few days :)
