Spectacle wearers beware- paint hazard!

First day waking up in our new house. Woke up at 6am as really excited to decorate for the first time (and also because it was really light cos we don't have curtains yet!). I am not a morning person at all so it was very unusual for me to be up and productive by 6.30am!

We went and bought the paint and rollers. Within about 10 minutes this was my glasses- splattered in white emulsion! On one hand, I am glad I had eye protection but on the other glasses are expensive!
I had to continue wearing them to paint cos I didn't know where I'd packed my old glasses and I am very short sighted (-6, which is pretty bad!).

It's now 11pm so we're going to call it a day! Now absolutely head to toe in paint. It's the rollers that splatter everywhere. My husband was doing the corners with a brush and looks much cleaner! Of course, it was me who went to open the door for the pizza delivery man earlier- he must have thought I was very strange with a face covered in paint!

More painting awaits tomorrow (and we must remember to buy some curtains too!)
