Tragedy Strikes

One of the seafood restaurants in our town burned this week. The damage to the interior and roof was extensive. Several of these local places opened 60 years ago, and the cause of this fire is listed as electrical. The heaviest damage was in the kitchen area. Calabash is known for its seafood restaurants. The owners say they will rebuild. The same thing happened two years ago to a seafood restaurant about a block away. They are open and thriving now. Since living near folks whose home burned some years ago, I am struck by the tragedy of a fire. Many memorabilia were on the walls of this restaurant. Fortunately, the restaurant fire occurred when no one was there.
