Dusk To Dawn
Walking on the prom in Dún Laoghaire with Lola. Bad back and gut acting up again (diverticulitis) so not really in much of a mood for a blip-ramble. I had wanted to get something more interesting than one of my numerous seascapes, but this reminded me of another seascape, a print that used hang in what was known as the 'drawing room' in our old home in Stillorgan. Ages later, long after we left the house and gave the print to an aunt of mine, I discovered that the original was a painting called Dawn, by the Scottish painter Joseph Farquharson. I grew up with 'Dawn', though always imagined it was twilight.
