Results Day

After having a rather riotous night out with Clare, Hugo and Andy...results were not the first things on our mind. Now, we had specifically gone out to forget that we had results the next day, and we were not disappointed.

1.) I was woken up by a text from Andy saying he was in the kitchen. He then proceeded to tell me how he had no money left from what he had taken out, but that it was alright because he had pocket mints.
2.) We then proceeded to throw them into the handy target of a jug.
3.) On Beth's entrance we realised that we were probably still drunk. She told us to get back to bed.
4.) Upon everyone waking up later we did indeed realised that we were drunk - as the hangover descended on all.
5.) After spending the morning concentrating on getting rid of hangovers, Katie then arrived back.
6.) Lunch.
7.) Results were out.
8.) Clare, Beth, Katie and I went to the department to see what our results were. All very nervous apart from Beth who had decided that she was getting a 2:1 and that was it.
9.) The slowest lift journey ever, feeling like going to the executioner would have been less tense.
10.) Everyone got the results they needed - 2:1s, and Clare with a 1st. Cue Katie crying and getting her make-up everywhere. A quick trip back to the flat to sort that, and many telephone calls made...and then it was time to celebrate!

Luckily the French department had bought enough wine for two departments, so everyone was happy! A few hours later there were four of us, determined to finish the wine. On finishing it we went looking for glass recycling (as you do!) and ran into one of our tutors, who just laughed at us. This photograph is taken slightly earlier in the afternoon, when everyone was still in shock at how well they had done.

Once back at the flat we clubbed together all the food we had and continued the evening in a similar manner to the afternoon. Clare suddenly found a rare and fierce dislike for fracking (which in the morning she had no recollection of, or strong opinion for or against it!) and Hugo and I ended up singing along to a nineties playlist.

I'm not certain this is standard student life, but it was ours!
