Scarborough view

The White Rose Orienteering event start and finish was on the cliff top with this wonderful view over Scarborough South Bay towards the harbour. The weather was very kind and this lady was enjoying a sit down following a challenging up hill finish. Richard and I had early runs as we were helping on the start after our runs. Unfortunately one of the controls had been removed but at least I was able to warn the officials. It was a really challenging course on a steep hillside with a myriad of paths.

Unfortunately one of the competitors made a huge error, ran off the map and fell off a cliff. She was found unconscious and had to be evacuated by the coastguard via the lifeboat. I just hope that she was not seriously hurt.
