800th Birthday

No, not mine - although I feel it some days:-) It's the 800th birthday of East Haven (sometimes written as one word), a tiny community between Carnoustie and Arbroath and they were determined to celebrate it in style! There have been several events, including the creation of a new community garden, leading up to the main celebration today.

There was specially commissioned music, singing, art and photography exhibitions, local produce stalls etc etc and it only rained for a very short time, so a great day was had by all.

This is the ship that is the centrepiece of the new garden and which has been lovingly restored by volunteers. Amazing what can be achieved when a community works together:-)
