Favourite Bit
We had an early start this morning; the girls got up to say goodbye to their grandparents before they flew home. The girls (and us) have enjoyed spending some quality family time with their Nanny & Grandad.
Their Grandad has recently been treated for throat cancer and has had a tracheotomy. I'll be honest, I was quite nervous as to how the girls would take to the situation. I asked Peach to explain to his parents about how inquisitive the girls are and to ask them to talk to the girls about it all. In the end, the girls asked a couple of questions and didn't stare anywhere near as much as I thought they would. Aj was smitten with Grandad and was the first to give him a cuddle and a kiss; which was lovely :)
After our goodbyes, Peach took his parents to the airport and went on an adventure with Pops, whilst leaving me at home with DM, R & Aj.
We took Nana into Hinckley to get some essentials. The girl were really well behaved - with the exception of a restless Aj. On a couple of occasions she had her own agenda (which happened to be completely opposite to what the rest of us where doing);so after her second tantrum I happily left her to it. Aj's latest tantrums involve her throwing herself to the floor, whilst whining for something she's either not allowed or simply can't do/have. I tend to get three steps away before she panics, gets up and runs to hold my hand.
We had a lovely lunch at McDonalds followed by more school shopping.
Peach& Pops got home just after 3pm and we went to Fosse Park. The girls got their new book bags for school next week, and few other bits for school.
We had a lovely tea at Pizza Hut with friends, whilst DM was taken by my brother to have a sleepover with her cousin.
When we got home, Ruby came over to me to say: "Mummy, today has been my favourite bit of everything" Ah shucks :)
