A Family Of Mice In The Garden

Apart of course from the usual rubbish spinning around in my head which seems to have been following me around all summer, I felt fine when I got up this morning and the weather seemed to be quite fine too, as you can probably see by my blip photo ... but both me and the weather seem to have got progressively worse throughout the day ... :o(

To be fair, the weather has at least been dry, which allowed me to grill my lunch on the BBQ instead of mucking around with the cooker ... but instead of being a lovely fine day, it's been overcast and grey with the constant threat of rain to come ...
As for me, however, my throat has been getting sorer and sorer, my nose more and more blocked and my body more and more achy ... I'm not normally one to complain very much about my ailments, but that's probably only because I don't actually get very many ailments ... In fact I think it's been over two years since I last caught a cold, but unless I'm very much mistaken, I seem to be catching one now ... :o(

And there seems to be a rock concert going on inside my head too ... (although that might just be coming from the Earth Fair a few hundred yards away at the Vale Castle) ... (at least it saves having to put the Hi-Fi on) ... :o)

Oh yes, I nearly forgot ... I spent the best part of an hour sitting on a garden chair this afternoon trying to take a picture of some very shy mice which appear to have taken up residence amongst a pile of logs stacked near the BBQ ... Nippy little guys they are ... I got a couple of cute shots, but having brought them up on the PC, they are a bit too blurry to publish ... So watch this space, as I shall keep trying to capture them in the days to come ... ('capture' in photo form, I hasten to add) ... :o)
