Fields of gold
After passing by the Sleeping Giant and through a windy rain shower on our way around Loch Leven we came across these wheat fields. We cycled down quite a steep hill into a world of sunshine and gold, it was quite a shocking contrast from the damp shadowed hills we had just passed by. It took quite a while to decide on a photo for today as we took many on our trip around the loch but I picked this one as it reminds me of that feeling of utter bliss that came over me as I stood between those sun drenched fields. We were so lucky as the day that we chose to cycle around the loch was the one warm and sunny day (for the most part!) that we experienced on our trip back to Kinross. K's father reckoned that we biked for about 15 miles to make the round trip, an accomplishment for me and a summer's day well spent.
