Whisky Fringe

I came back to Edinburgh from Kinross early in the day so I could attend the 2014 Whisky Fringe with a friend from work. No wonder there are instructions around cautioning you to pace yourself and drink water as well as eat oat cakes, even after trying to be moderate in my whisky intake by the end I felt like my head had spun right off and landed on the floor! It was a beautiful setting as it was staged in the Mansfield Traquair Center, you can see the stunning murals on the walls in the photograph. As for the whisky, after rounding all the stations and tasting many different ones I think the Glengoyne 12yr stood out for me, a very special dram. (also I could still taste it as it was near the beginning of the event!) An interesting if not somewhat befuddling way of spending an afternoon.
